What is Metropolis?

Metropolis St. Louis is an independent not-for-profit organization working to create and promote an environment in the city of St. Louis that attracts and retains young people. Begun as a conversation in March of 1997, Metropolis has grown into a movement with more than 1,400 members. All of its many projects are initiated, planned and carried out by volunteers in true grassroots fashion. In short, Metropolis is a civic organization with an edge.
