Dogs can make a “SPLASH” at the Maplewood Dog Swim
Maplewood is a great and historic neighborhood that brings both cultural and enjoyment to those who visit and reside within its limits. Locals believe in the statement “Every dog has its day” and quite literally! Maplewood will be holding their Sixth Annual Maplewood Dog Swim, where the pooches run the pool!
There is no better way to end the dog days of summer then with a “splash” for you and your dog. They will be allowed to run, splash, swim and play within the great swimming facility at the Maplewood Family Aquatic Center. Proceeds from the dog swim will support the Maplewood Dog Park.
So grab your canine friend, some chew toys and a towel – then relax pool side as your pup makes new friends and enjoys one of their best times of the whole summer.
Further Information:
Dates: Friday, Saturday and Sunday, September 11th, 12th and 13th
Hours: 4 to 8 pm Friday, September 11th; 1 to 5 pm Saturday, September 12th,
and 1 to 5 pm Sunday, September 13th.
Location: Maplewood Family Aquatic Center, 7550 Lohmeyer in Maplewood 63143.
Admission is $10 per dog and two-adults per day; $25 per dog and two-adults for a three-day pass and $5 per day per person without a dog.
Important Details: Rabies vaccination records are required for each dog to participate and must be presented at the front desk. Dogs must be at least four months old. Participants must also sign a liability waver. No children under 13 allowed. Children ages 13 to 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian over 18. No more than two dogs per person. Wading to the knees is permitted. NO human swimming. Dog Park and Aquatic Center rules apply.

Maplewood is not a “neighborhood”. Maplewood is a municipality – a municipality that is separate from the City of St. Louis, which is the focus of Metropolis St. Louis. Maplewood is a nice place, has rebounded from hard times, and has a lot to offer. However, it is outside the scope of the mission, found here: http://www.mstl.org/about_the_organization.php
