Things to Do: June
Summer is officially here! There are a ton of fun things going on in the next few months, so mark your calendars…
1) Whitaker Music Festival at the Missouri Botanical Gardens- www.mobot.org. June 3- August 5, 6:30-9 pm. Cost: FREE!
Every Wednesday, starting in June, the Botanical Gardens opens up its doors to the public for free evening concerts. Patrons bring a picnic, wine and camping chairs and are welcome to explore the gardens in the twilight. It’s a “must” every summer in STL.
2) Frontyard Features outdoor movie, “Spider Man” in Lafayette Square- www.fyfstl.com. Saturday, June 13. Cost: FREE!
Outdoor movies are a great way to bring the community together. Frontyard Features has a movie going on somewhere in the St. Louis community every night from May-September. Their are co-hosted by a local organization and are free to attend, although it’s suggested you donate $5 or so to help defray the cost. Check out their website to see what else is playing this summer!
3) So Many Dynamos CD Release Party- www.firebirdstl.com. Saturday, June 27, 9 pm at The Firebird. Cost: $8
OK, I blogged about this before but this is the real Dynamos CD release party. “The Loud Wars” will be available for purchase. We’re all excited to hear their new songs and cheer on one of St. Louis’ most promising bands.
Hope to see you out and about in the next few weeks!
