  1. How much does it cost?

    Answer: $20 for a basic membership, but if you really love the city we have options for different memberships.

  2. Do I have to live in the city to be able to become a member?

    Answer: No, you can live anywhere and be a member of Metropolis. See our membership page for more information.

  3. Do I have to be on steering committee to propose a mstl project?

    Answer: No, any member can submit a mstl project proposal. Just submit your proposal to the Steering Committee at steering@mstl.org. Also, please take a look at the project proposal criteria.

  4. How do I request an event?

    Answer: Just submit a project proposal to the steering committee by either going to the steering committee meeting or emailing steering@mstl.org.  Also, please take a look at the project proposal criteria.

  5. How can I get a Metropolis T-shirt?

    Answer: Just go to our Metropolis Gear page and order one.

  6. Do you have to be a member to go to Metropolis events?

    Answer: No, you don’t have to be a member to go to Metropolis events, although some events are free to metropolis members, while those that aren’t metropolis members will have to pay to attend.

  7. Who is on your Board of Directors?

    Answer: Meet our current Steering Committee.

  8. How many people are involved with Metropolis?

    Answer: We have over 1400 members involved with Metropolis.

  9. How many people usually go on the Walk?

    Answer: It varies anywhere from 15 to 50.

  10. Will it be uncomfortable if I don’t know anyone on the Walk if I go?

    Answer: Absolutely not!! We have super friendly walk captains that will introduce you to all of our friendly walkers.

  11. Do you sell condos? (Confusion w/Metropolis Development company in CWE)

    Answer: No, we don’t. We are a non-profit organization that was created before Metropolis Development. Our focus is to create and maintain an environment within the city of St. Louis that attracts and retains young people.

  12. How can I start a project/event of my own with Metropolis?

    Answer: Just submit a project proposal to the Steering Committee at steering@mstl.org. Also, please take a look at the project proposal criteria.

  13. My club or agency is hosting an event – will Metropolis help us?

    Answer: Possibly, just ask. Contact us at steering@mstl.org

  14. How might my business/organization reach Metropolis members through its programs and marketing?

    Answer: Co-sponsor or become a sponsor of one of our events. See our sponsorship page for more info.

  15. Is Metropolis a political or activist group?

    Answer: No we aren’t. Although if we feel very strongly about an issue with in the city we will take action.
